A pianist with an atypical career path, Olivier Claude explores the classical solo and chamber music repertoire, as well as vocal accompaniment, jazz and free improvisation.

He performs regularly, both as a soloist and in various ensembles, with a penchant for Romantic music (especially Schubert and Brahms) and French music.

For him, the concert is a place for sharing affects, a space for resonance between musicians and audience.

In a world dominated by rationality and the quantifiable, the musical experience is an opportunity to reintroduce the sensitive and re-enchant reality.

He holds a master's degree in political science, and has worked as a project manager in the cultural department of a local authority. The question of an artist's place in a territory is therefore central to his thinking. Making the musical experience accessible to as many people as possible by reaching out to a variety of audiences is a priority for him.

During his studies at the Haute Ecole des Arts du Rhin (HEAR), he was taught classical piano by Laurent Cabasso, Amy Lin and Dany Rouet, free improvisation by Eric Watson and Jean-Marc Foltz, and jazz by Erwin Siffer.

After teaching at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Reims for three years, he was appointed Professeur d'Enseignement Artistique (PEA) at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental de Montauban, where he currently works.
